I just really wanted to create something easy and simple. You’ll see this as you start knitting the pattern. This pattern is all about the yarn and not about the stitches. Quick and simple, perfect for any beginner knitter out there in the world! Sometimes things just don't have to be complicated to be beautiful. Sometimes simple is more. 

Boho Love Knitting Pattern

The beauty of this pattern lies in its versatility. Feel free to mix and match different yarn weights, creating a unique and personalized scarf. The pattern is a delightful combination of knit, purl, and a touch of creativity, resulting in a stunning scarf that's as individual as you are.

Finishing Touches: The sample scarf, using approximately 120 yds of handspun and two skeins of bulky weight (109 yds each), showcases the scarf's potential. Leftover bulky yarn can be used to create charming tassels, adding an extra touch of boho chic.

You don't have to use fancy yarn for this scarf. If you have some stash that you want to hold together, do it! If you love a yarn from one of those big brand stores and want to use it, do it! I don't create patterns just for people who have stashes of luxury yarns. I create patterns for everyone and hope you all feel comfortable using what you have and making it fabulous. Growing up in New York City you learn all about fashion in such a different light. Taking a Target T Shirt and making a whole outfit out of it was the norm. I apply those same rules to my knitting. Use whatever makes your heart (and wallet!) happy! 

• 1 skein of handspun yarn (approximately 120 yds)

• 2 skeins of bulky yarn held double (each 109 yds)

• Knitting needles suitable for bulky yarn

• Scissors

• Optional: Additional bulky weight yarn for tassels

• Knit

• Purl

• Knit 1 stitch below

• Purl 1 stitch below 

Using a Size US 17 needle

Taking your main color, cast on 13 stitches. 

Set-up row: With Main Color, K all the stitches. Turn the work.

 Row 1: Taking your Contrast Color: 

K 1 stitch, *P1 stitch below, K1 stitch*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Knit the last stitch. Do not turn your work. 

Slide the stitches on the cable and begin the same row again. 

Row 2: Taking your Main Color:
K1 stitch, *P1 stitch, K1 stitch below*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Knit the last stitch. Turn the work.

Row 3: Taking your Contrast Color:

K1 stitch, *K1 stitch below, P1 stitch*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Knit the last stitch. Do not turn the work. Slide the stitches on the cable and begin the same row again. 

Row 4: Taking your Main Color:

K1 stitch, *K1 stitch, P1 stitch below*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Knit the last 2 stitches. Turn the work. 

Repeat Rows 1 – 4 until you reach the desired length. Keeping in mind the weight of the garment if you are using corespun handspun or a heavier weight yarn.
